ARDC Services Powered by Nectar

A wide range of national services are available via Nectar to save time, boost productivity, facilitate collaboration, and power groundbreaking research.

  • The Virtual Desktop Service gives researchers an extra personal computer in the cloud. It’s a simple way to access Nectar compute resources.
  • Use the Jupyter Notebook Service to develop, combine, and export computational notebooks and interactive visualisations in pre-configured computing environments, such as Python, R, and SciPy.
  • Use the BinderHub Service to turn code, data, and computational environments into shareable, executable, and reproducible Binder environments that can easily be used by collaborators and colleagues.
  • With the National GPU Service, easily reserve GPUs and large-memory virtual machines for demanding research activities like processing large datasets, 3D imaging, machine learning, and computational modelling.
