We are scheduling a maintenance window to migrate the networking of infrastructure within the monash-01 availability zone of the Nectar Research Cloud to a new platform.
During this change, existing cloud instances within the monash-01 zone will continue to function. VM instances may lose connectivity approximately 1-2 minutes to both internal and external to the monash-01 zone, i.e connections between instances in the monash-01 zone and to volume storage in the monash-01 zone.

Anytime between 23rd Jul 2018 09:00hrs to 27th Jul 2018 17:00hrs
Whilst no impact to data stored on research cloud servers is expected, we recommend users ensure all backups are up-to-date. If you have particular concerns regarding how this outage might impact your services running atop the research cloud then please contact research cloud support as soon as possible so that we can plan an alternate strategy for the relevant instances.
All OpenStack management operations (such as making snapshots, rebooting instances, deleting instances and attach/detach of volumes) will be suspended when the hypervisor network connection is being migrated to the new network infrastructure and will be resumed after the migration.
