[Hazard Notice] Network Disruption for melbourne-np availability zone Sunday Jan 6, 2019, 11am - 12pm AEDT

Users of the NeCTAR Research Cloud melbourne-np AZ are advised that the Unimelb Network team are planning to perform the Hardware replacement & Software upgrade of the Noble Park Data Centre distribution router as approved by the CAB (CHG0052677). This change is scheduled on 6thof January 2019.
We are expecting a full outage to Noble Park Data Centre for up to 10 minutes as part of this change. Traffic between Noble Park DC and the outside world, including Unimelb services in the Queensberry St DC, will be affected, but internal network traffic to Noble Park DC will be operational. This outage is expected occur between 11.00 AM and 12.00 PM on Jan 6th.
Running instances should stay up during this period, however attempts to connect to them from the outside, or vice versa, will temporarily fail (up to 10 minutes). The network connectivity should resume after this period, however if subsequently users still cannot access their instances, please contact the NeCTAR help desk for assistance by emailing support@ehelp.edu.au or visiting https://support.ehelp.edu.au.
