About
Services affected: Storage and Compute Resources in Tasmania and SA zones of Research Cloud
Outage Window: 2019-Feb-01 to 2019-Feb-04 AEDT
Affected Availability Zones: tasmania, tasmania-s, sa
Detail
Maintenance on the Tasmania/SA cloud infrastructure is scheduled for February 1st to 4th, 2019, and unfortunately this will likely require shutdown of instances.
This outage will consist of upgrades of the underlying storage system, which may require shutdown of all running instances on the hardware, then a testing phase before the previously running instances are restarted.
What Users Need To Do
To minimise risks to your instances, prior to the start of Friday 1st of February, please ensure important data is backed up, and critical instances are snapshotted. Please shut down your instances that require an orderly shutdown before the outage window begins, else we will shut them down if necessary during the maintenance window. If your instances are no longer in use, please delete/terminate them.
