Intersect partial node outage 12 June 2019

There will be a scheduled outage to the Intersect Zone of the Nectar Research Cloud on June 12 2019.

Users of the Intersect zone are advised that on June 12 there will be a series of rolling outages affecting Intersect Nectar instances with attached volume storage. Instances without Cinder Volume storage are not affected. These outages are part of regular maintenance.

Cinder Storage nodes will be updated and rebooted, and this requires downtime for the instances with attached volumes. The upgrade work will be performed progressively, with one Cinder node out of service at a time. It is anticipated that each Cinder node will take about 2 hours.

Individual users with affected instances have been notified, and this will be repeated 7 days and 1 day prior to the outage.
